Description

Real smooth without a full-size bong overpowering your hand. A great upgrade from a hand pipe, or a quick alternative when the big bong is too much.

Most of our pieces cool through a coil sitting above the water. This one has no coil. Glycerin is sealed into the walls for a deep, full-bodied chill that drops smoke by up to 300°. As long as smoke is in the piece, it's getting chilled. We used a double showerhead perc for tons of bubbles, and a built-in straw for the mouthpiece.

Freeze it for an hour, add water and drop in the bowl. Empty the water before it goes back in the freezer and it's ready for the next round.

Glycerin & how it works

Glycerin is a non-toxic, food-grade gel commonly used in food and personal care products. When frozen, it cools smoke more efficiently than water.

On the Slush Cup, the glycerin is sealed into the walls of the whole cup. The whole piece goes in the freezer, empty, for about an hour. As smoke churns through the water and rises to the straw, it's surrounded by cold on every side. Unlike water, glycerin doesn't expand when it freezes, so the piece can live in your freezer between sessions. Just empty the water first.

Cleaning & care

Cleans just like a traditional piece, and since it's one solid piece, there's nothing to take apart.

  1. Empty the water and rinse after each session.
  2. Pull out the bowl, add solution, plug the straw and the bowl joint (napkins work great) and shake. Any store-bought glass cleaner works, or use coarse sea salt with 99% isopropyl alcohol.
  3. For a deeper clean, let the solution sit 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Rinse with room-temperature water and let it dry completely before it goes back in the freezer.

Why it's smoother

Why Regular Bubblers Hit Harsh

A regular bubbler cools with water alone. Smoke takes one quick pass through a little water and heads straight to your throat, with nothing cold around it on the way. That's where the harsh pulls, the throat burn and the coughing on bigger hits come from.

The Slush Cup has no coil. Glycerin is sealed into the walls of the whole cup, so while the double showerhead perc churns smoke through the water, it's being chilled from every side, by up to 300° before it reaches the straw.

How long does it take to freeze?

About an hour. Empty the water first: the whole piece goes in the freezer, and since glycerin doesn't expand when it freezes, it can live in there between sessions.

How do I use it?
  1. Freeze it, empty, for about an hour.
  2. Add water, just enough to cover the double showerhead perc. Start low and add a little at a time.
  3. Drop in the 14mm bowl, light up and pull slowly from the straw.
