Glycerin & how it works
Glycerin is a non-toxic, food-grade gel commonly used in food and personal care products. When frozen, it cools smoke more efficiently than water.
As smoke winds through the two intertwining coils of the DNA Coil, the chilled glycerin around them cools every pull before it reaches you. Unlike water, glycerin doesn't expand when it freezes, so the pipe can live in your freezer between sessions.
Cleaning & care
Cleans just like a traditional piece, and the extra wide coils make rinsing simple.
- Rinse after each session and let it dry 20 to 30 minutes before it goes back in the freezer.
- For a deeper clean, add isopropyl alcohol (91% or higher) and coarse salt, plug the openings and shake.
- Let it soak 10 to 15 minutes if needed, then rinse with room-temperature water.
With 2 bowls in the box, one can soak while you smoke the other. We'll email cleaning instructions after purchase.

How long does it take to freeze?
About an hour. Glycerin doesn't expand when it freezes, so your pipe can live in the freezer between sessions, ready whenever you are.
How long does it stay cold?
Long enough for a relaxed session, and the DNA's chamber holds 60% more glycerin than our entry pipe, so there's more cold to work with. Room temperature, warm hands and how often you pull all play a part. For long sessions, pop it back in the freezer between bowls, and the spare bowl makes that easy.
Will it really feel smoother than my pipe?
That's the question we hear most. Smoke winds through two intertwining coils surrounded by freezable glycerin and comes out up to 300° cooler, which means smoother pulls and less coughing. It's smooth enough that it's easy to take a bigger pull than you meant to, so start slow and let the coils do the work.
What makes the DNA Coil different?
